Living in South Wales I thought we had some lovely roads, Gower and Brecon. But took a little spin to Snowdonia on Saturday. Left at 7.30 roads empty, done 300 miles. What a stunning place, why isn't there millions of people living there... Better than living in any city.
Just got back from Brecon beacons (by car unfortunately - family trip!!). Am jealous of people who get to live in Wales. Fabulous roads....as long as you are careful of sheep on roads
Yeah think we are lucky here, I can be in the Brecon in about 15 minutes. My friends and I have been to lots of places/country's on our travels, and always agree that we have some of the best roads on or doorstep.
No, have to disagree. Horrible place, always raining and vampire sheep. Please keep away as you may need to spend 6 months in quarantine if you get bitten by a goat. No bikes, cars or vans allowed except for Monday beer and grocery deliveries
Yep. It is a beautiful part of the country. Seek out the quiet back roads, that are more than often wide and well surfaced, and you will be well rewarded with a fantastic day out. There was once a bad reputation for heavy handed policing, but in the 30+ Years I have been riding in North Wales, I have never witnessed anything that has made me feel bikers are being persecuted. However we do have our fair share of accidents. Ride safe and if anyone would like to meet up, or have a guided tour of North or Mid Wales, give me a shout. Mark
