    Hello

A random (possibly just me and not the bike) query. I have the 2024 Street Triple 765RS, and I don't know if anybody else suffers with it, but the side stand causes me light frustration and confusion.

My foot can never naturally find it, my eyes can't see it, so it's often a guessing game as to how long it takes me to kick it down. Also a bit stiff kicking it up too. And heaven help if there's so much as a mm of drop in the ground where I park, it feels like the bike is going to go over, feels like a very low settlement.

Does anybody else experience this? I'll fully accept I'm just useless if not, and spend a few hours practicing my stand technique

If it is like one I've just looked at for reference you should be able to do what I have on my firestorm there is a (too) small lug half way up I have a put a stiff piece of rubber pipe over the lug secured with a cable tie tight as possible the pipe makes it easier to find the kick down lug stiff enough to facilitate pushing the stand down but plyable enough not to catch on anything causing damage or catch clothing etc hopefully this may help another alternative is to get an oversized foot for the end this too will offer you a bit more of a target to find ;)

@RedRider765 Yes i found this with my 675 and a Bonneville i had. I purchased one of the stand extenders that worked a treat. I also cut a small block of aluminium drilled the stand foot and screwed it to the stand.

I have the same bike. It does have a healthy lean on the stand, but I have no issue seeing it or using it up or down. I've parked in spots with the stand on the low side of the ground with a scary lean. However, when pulling it in the lean direction it feels darn stable. I do have Diamond rearsets on it and maybe it makes a difference for access. The BMW S1000R I had with AP rearsets was all but impossible to use the side stand and I had to add an eBay end foot that was larger as the stock foot would sink into hot tarmac. I would reccomend one of those.

Nope, its not just you. I have the same bike and it can be a pain to find the stand when sat on the bike. I have a few other bikes and the STRS is the worse one I own in that respect.

I don't have a problem with the Gen 1 sidestand so I'll take that as another win for the older bike
