I haven't paid for it yet - the owners of the bike shop are also my friends :p.

Nice little 90 mile jaunt before work today, calling in at the Baffle Haus. It was absolutely full, so you had to queue to be parked, I wondered if I had got the day wrong and it was a weekend :eyes:.

Supposed to be an office day today, but my days off over the last couple of weeks have been really annoying and work is getting me down, so stuff it I'll accept the invite from Paul for a rideout and clear my head.

So a lovely Autumn day's rideout with friends Paul (Bobber) and Tim (BMW 1200R) from Shell Garage Sandiway to the Old Smithy in Monyash. Not a bad day and being forecast as such there were plenty of bikes on the road and at Monyash.

Pictures taken on the moors backroads a little before Harpur Hill.

After that too busy enjoying the ride or the Bacon and Egg Roll at the Old Smithy to take photos.

Then backroads across the moors towards Leek, past the Roaches, to Biddulph / Mow Cop to Glebe Farm Astbury for Hot Chocolate then back to Sandiway. Lovely weather and good roads what's not to enjoy?

Still need a few more "recovery" rides;), here's hoping.

Perfect riding day, dry and comfortably warm so went for a 150+ miles jaunt around Norfolk and Suffolk. Tested the fuel gauge on the way home and filled up with the gauge showing 8 miles remaining. The 12 litre tank took 11 litres.

After my recent Scotland trip, new tyres both ends.

I have to work tonight and was working most of last night, so Helmut and I popped out for just 100 miles or so today. I took my Striple and Helmut the Tuono. We decided to try a new place - Roadhouse - at Llanwenarth, between Crickhowell and Abergavenny. It used to be the Llanwenarth Hotel but has just reopened after being revamped into a hotel with a cafe that welcomes bikes, cars, anything auto.

It's not quite finished, but is very friendly and welcoming and the food and coffee were really good, so we'll definitely go again.

I really look forward to your Rideout reports as the places you visit are not totally unreachable for me being In Wales and read with interest and bare in mind when deciding which way to head especially with your recommendations for bike friendly stop offs I think you and Helmut should have your own permanent thread for exactly these rides:p

A bit more spanner time tonight on the 765.

    20250908_175944.jpg

New front tyre installed, all brake calipers serviced and give it a once over.

    20250908_213443.jpg

Ooh that radiator feels wobbly.....what's this here?

    20250908_213504.jpg

It's always worth checking, and going over things, once cleaned up after a decent run. The bolt was well on it's way to freedom, no doubt once gone, it would've allowed the radiator to flex in the wind with potential damages to follow.

    Nipped up and sorted ;)

Today I've spent a good while popping down to stare at the bike in the garage...as it continues to rain (I will fully admit I am a fair weather rider) Only had the bike a week, and finally learning to love its wasp like scowl
I had the quickest of jaunts yesterday with a few photos thrown in, and hoping to have another tomorrow if the weather holds up!

I took my STRS over to York (A1 Triumph) this morning for its first annual service. I've never used them before, but a quick shout out for them. The Service Manager was very friendly and helpful and the bike was ready when they said it would be. They offered to lend me a courtesy bike, but I met up with a friend who lives in York and we went for a coffee in their Cafe, which is part of the same building. I usually do my own servicing, but as the bike is still under warranty and (I'm told) its virtually impossible for the home mechanic to reset the service light on the post 2023 Triumphs, I took the plunge. There was no major work done or required, just the basics, but they did a good job and I'm more than happy with the results. Nice one A1. :)

Early bird catches the worm

Checked forecast last night and this morning. Rain forecasted from 13.00.
At Seaways just after 10.00 then back home on a convoluted back road route by around 13.00.

Roads were wet in places but we didn't suffer a drop of rain.:)

    Smug, moi :joy:
