Hi everyone, I had a 1996 Speed Triple for nine years at the beginning of this century. That was a great bike, but I followed up with HD, BMW, Royal Enfield and Honda etc. I thought I was happy; I thought that I had satisfied my boyhood ambition to own and ride Triumph…….but just lately I’ve found myself eyeing up Bonnevilles, even scanning the classifieds, researching maintenance and running costs etc…..oh dear, we know what that means don’t we? So, I’m leaning towards an 865, possibly the NEWCHURCH version, as I went to the festival there a couple of years ago, which was pretty awesome…….plenty of Triumphs there of course, probably what planted the seed again! This forum looks pretty good, so here I am. I’m based in Essex, UK
Yes, I liked the different paint job and a few more blacked out bits on those. Today I also discovered the Spirit Bonneville; now that is a lovely variation……..of course any bike can be painted
@Mr H, Welcome back. Do remember you don't need a triumph to talk to us hear. Have a look at Bulldog Triumph in Winnersh. I just sold them my 865 Bonnie sixty all dressed in chrome with all the OEM bits removed and boxed up from new. It was two owner and with just over three thousand miles on the clock and loads of paper work including the John Bloor certificate. It was a beauty and i didn't want to sell but as any one on here will tell you i see something and just have to buy. Not sure what they want for it buy like me you can haggle with them and they are so amicable.
