Who's Been To The Eifel?

    I'm just toying with the idea of a trip into the Eifel area of Germany next year. Anyone been there, can advise places to visit and stay? Is the weather OK in late Spring, sort of May-June? Unlikely I'd camp, not really into these biker hotels. Just your run of the mill Gasthaus type places really. :)

    Went there on a school coach trip in 1983. Recall it being a lovely place but being 14 we spent most of our time trying to get served beer...
