I know this has been mentioned elsewhere but I make no apologies for posting about it again because the deadline is fast approaching. If you haven't already signed the petition you can find it at: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/712763 100,000 signatures are needed to stir the government into debating the issue. It could be years before we get another chance to make bus lane access the default position across the country. It is important. It is about OUR safety. It affects everyone who rides. So please sign it now!
Ive just signed, I'm sure i've signed it before. the deadline is 28th Aug and there's less than 25,000 signatures. It needs 100,000 to be considered for debate in parliament so get signing and sharing!!
Yes, I think I have too, so even less people responded than what it first appears. Thanks to @beerkat for publicising it, I just wonder how many people simply aren't aware of it?
Too many. I've just come from dropping off my Daytona at Youles in Manchester. No-one there knew anything about it When I go back to collect the bike I'll be taking a handful of homemade fliers, showing the petition address and urging people to sign it asap! I'm also tucking them under the seat strap or wherever on parked bikes. Don't forget, no-one says you have to own or ride a bike to sign it, so get your family, friends & neighbours to do it. Stress the safety issue and they'll have no reason not to sign up.
It won't let you sign twice - unless, I suppose, you enter different/false information? I obviously forgot that I'd signed it some time ago and tried but got a message saying 'no can do'!
Signed. If you confirm on here when signed I think this should refresh this discussion to the top of the "New Posts" section?
