Pedestrian Miming Twisting The Throttle

I've had it twice recently, a young lady in her early twenties about 6 months ago and two early teenage boys about two weeks ago. Its probably some ridiculous social media thing; Oops did I just show my age?

 

Young lads do it here all the time - just wanting to hear the exhaust sound at high revs..... Sometimes I do.... Sometimes I don't!!

 

Ive had it form "schoolkids" occasionally. I usually acknowledge their request with an extremely gentle touch to the throttle, just enough for them to know ive seen their request but leave them wanting more. Its great seeing the abject disappointment on their faces.

 

Try doing it with a bog standard Euro restricted exhaust!

 

Years ago when gestures came from youngsters I interpreted it as to pop a wheelie Or give it some noise on the throttle but nowadays I'm not so sure as the younger generation rarely lift their gaze from their screens

 

I get this a quite lot on the dirt bike, from young kids but then it's probably the sort of bike they prefer to nick.

 

The modern exhaust is definitely better to listen to than the loud pipe idiots.
