Hi folks, I have a 1050 Sprint for 3 yrs now and have gone through 4 stators. Right now I have a Shindengen FH027AA regulator/Rectifier wired direct to batterey with 30A fuse, bike has new battery, upgraded battery cables and negative is good to engine. I'm at a loss as to why these keep failing, I am using Electrex world stators as well. I am not sure what else to check, I do not run LED headlamps which I have heard cause the issue and not been using heated grips. Any help on tests would be great. I use the bike daily for work and weekend trips away. I love the bike but if I can't bottom the issue then unfortunatly its gunna have to go.

Hi, that's pretty common on 1050 ST.
The first issue was on early models (2005-2008) because the regulator was in the right side fairing, unable to get cooled properly.
I moved mine on front left, like Triumph did after 2008.
Since no issue, and for the stator, if the regulator is ok, the stator should last longer.
Note that I ride the whole year, and use heated grip quiet often, and doesn't have led lights.
    Hope this helps.
I think I posted somewhere there the pictures of the Reg/rectifier relocation.

    Edit: here are the pictures:

I had an Armstrong mt500 and they suffer from regulator overheating.
The aftermarket one I had on mine moved it from under the right hand side panel to below the headlamp ( extension loom came with kit).
Problem solved, I think @Hubaxe is onto something here and a reposition of the reg could be your saviour.

The above answers are spot on. I got through 2 stators in a year on my Sprint, it first went on the ride home from buying it! The rectifier overheating is almost definitely the source of your issue. After doing my research upgraded rectifier didnt cure the issue until i moved it, as Hubaxe advised. As you said you have upgraded the charging cables, relocating the rectifier away from engine heat and into cooling airflow will be your saviour.
