No Power

    Just slowing down my 06 Daytona 955i into a 40, then the whole bike just went dead. On further inspection the 30amp bty fuse had blown. Kind Mr AA man put a new fuse in and blew that in as well. AA fully admitted that that was his limit on bikes. Anyone had this happen? Electrics are not my thing (apart from puttying a 9v bty on my tounge)

    You're going to need a wiring diagram and (quite cheap) multimeter if you fancy tackling it yourself.
    It sounds like you've developed a short, check around the headstock or look around for chaffed wires i.e. under the tank, as a start.

    I agree with Eldon, check the wiring for shorts first. If nothing is evident it might be worth checking the regulator/rectifier.

    Cheers, the rectifier is relatively new,(replaced that for not charging the bty) but jobs for next weekend the boss will be happy. No doubt it will end up in the garage with a professional but I want to kick the tyres first.

    @JJ Smith Yes agree. Also check the fuse holders top and bottom for corrosion. But does sound like a short.

    Just a quick update, thought I would have a quick dabble tonight, can’t see any corrosion, (bty has been left connected and have not left it on charge) took out the blown bty fuse it was quite warm also took out the ignition fuse and It was that hot I could barley touch it. I I have left both fuse out. For now, phone call to the pros tomorrow
