Featured New Tyres For My Rocket

After 9.200 km I received today a new tyre set for my Rocket.
The "old" were Avon's Cobra Chrome. I would have been able to use them for additional 2.000 kilometres without any problems, but I will ride about 4.000 kilometres by the end of next week. Therefore I changed them in advance today. New Avon's were not available. Therefore I took Metzler Cruistec. After the change I did about 50 kilometres in different weather situations, sunshine and heavy rain and also on different road surfaces. They behaved well. Tomorrow I will ride a 430 km tour with my wife to get her new bike ready for the first service on next Monday. On next Wednesday we will start a tour to the Schwarzwald in Germany.

 

Today we did on our tour 437 km. My conclusion with the new tyres:
They are more comfortable than the Avon's.
The grip is very good under dry and wet conditions.
I am really interested how the durability will be in the future.
