What tyres are you replacing the stock tyres with? Thinking Sport Touring. Any noticeable improvement over the stock tyres?

My wife and me used the Metzler Tourance Next and Tourance Next 2 and we're very satisfied with them.

Do you have a local indy tyre fitting centre? I ring mine up to see what's the best option for my bike and he's always been very good, being able to explain the differences between the choices available as well as advising on cost etc.

Michelin Road 6's. They absolutely transformed my gt pro's handling.

What sizes have you had fitted. I've noticed a couple of times my gt pro tramlining, quite entertaining but rather it didn't.

Same here. My GT Pro used to tramline with the original Metzelers fitted. Totally eliminated with the road 6's.

    110/ 80 zr 90 fitted to the front. 150/70 zr 17 rear.

    I can't fault the TKC70 that I'm using on my Scram 1200XC.

Caught out for 1st time on the gt pro last week.tires were absolutely horrible ,if i thought the tramlining was bad in the dry ,shocking in the rain.Pressures are bang on triumph recommendations. Riding for over 50years ,never experienced anything like this.

I bought my 21 GT pro in May got the original tyres on rear a bit square but I found them ok I've bought a new next 2 for the rear as I like to keep a matching pair of possible and the front is like new the square back still has quite a bit left on there so being tight it can stay on and see if I can round it off a bit I'm planning on putting some miles on at the weekend before the MOT at the end of the month

I done many miles with Michelin Anakee on my bmw,,they are 100 times better that these tourance next 2.i can cope with the tramlining in the dry but it's brown underpants when it's raining.

Junk the original front tyre for a radial 110, it's the carcass construction and profile that's the issue rather than the make.

Im going to use it through the summer and change both tires next year,no confidence in them ,
Had original manufacture tires on every bike I've owned ,Honda, harley, bmw ,speed triples etc and never lost confidence. I don't ride through winter or use a bike for commuting thankfully.

I'm much the same or was I'm hoping to get some more riding through the whole year now with the tiger but I rate pirelli tyres which I had on my Aprilia rsv Diablos I've got avons on the firestorm they seem ok I had Michelin on the RF and felt soft but grippy and I had one of the Bridgestone battalax on the yzf so I'm not sold on one brand I think some of the tyres behavior can have a lot to do with the rider and riding style and what they expect out of a tyre

I do remember the very first time I took the Gt pro on a road trip, it was rainy, and post #11 by Pedro describes exactly how I felt.

When I changed the tyres went with the Michelin anakee adventure and a bit wider in the front to a 110 80 19, completely different bike, confidence inspiring.
