It’s the bike I hankered after when they were ‘in’. I probably couldn’t have handled it though.

The old trophy looks to good to chop up I'd be tempted to get it back to fully original as it left the factory to many of our older bikes are lost to customisation that's just my opinion can't really talk with my firestorm and it's paint but I like original manufacturers spend millions in development and we take bits off add bits and wonder why it doesn't run well or doesn't handle well

I agree to an extent but I would go down the road of buying a bitsa a frame from here and engine from there etc rather than chop a reasonable bike especially looking at your last project the trophy will be far from a comfortable tourer it is now but as I said before that's me and when you come to pass it on what is your ideal is not someone else's where as you will always have an audience for a mint standard machine that's what I want to do with my firestorm except the paint scheme I want it to be the best it can be now I have the Tiger I can take my time and do it properly and not have to rush to get it back on the road but it will be going back on the road as it is a fun ride and plus another reason to keep it my Mrs bought it for my 50th so I have had it 11 years and I can still manage to get my leg over
