0053 Fault Code Thruxton Rs

Hey mate,
0053 is usually the O2 sensor (bank 1, sensor 1). Could be a dodgy connection or the sensor itself. Check the wiring first if it looks fine, might need a new sensor. Quick fix if you’ve got a spare, otherwise might be a dealer job.

 

The traction control warning likely comes from the front wheel speed sensor (right side when sitting on the bike). It compares front/rear wheel speeds, and the sprocket change throws it off. If you're in a pinch, try disconnecting/reconnecting the sensor to reset it sometimes that helps temporarily. Safe travels to the Isle of Man.

 

Think you might have your wires crossed there which could be the answer

The lambda sensor is more often in the exhaust

 

Methinks it is the oxygen sensor for cylinder 1 i.e. left hand side ?
