May 29, arrived to Prince George

this was the ony day we had significant rain, enough to have the inside of the helmets soaked, and water sipping under the rain gear, wet boots, wet gloves, and temps around 5 to 10 ° C, but I wasn't cold. P George was sunny when we arrived.

Bridge over Fraser river, notice the water level above the graffiti , the river often floods the lower parts of P George

    May 30 - continued

In the excitement of taking photos at the sign, I was navigating, and we continued west toward Terrace instead of turning north on Route 37 toward Meziadin Junction and then onto 37A to Stewart. I noticed that Google Maps was directing me to take every small road, indicating a route to turn back. It wasn’t until we stopped at a gas station in Terrace an hour later that we realized the map was trying to redirect us.

Here we are on Route 37A in front of Bear Glacier.

There are two restaurants in town, one italian and one mexican (closed), we tried the Italian one on the first night, excellent pizza.

Jun 1 - The next morning we went to the general store to get a coffee and a bagel

We had planned to ride to the salmon glacier but the road was still closed due to snow, so we took this alternative:

June 4 starting the return, rode to Prince Rupert, we stayed 2 nights to catch a ferry to Port Hardy on the Vancouver island, saved us 1500kms on the bike
    20250603_122349.jpg

The ferry is very nice, it was maybe at 30% capacity, it has a nice cafeteria and plenty of areas to walk around inside and out.
    Everybody ...

Jun 5 - riding south from Port Hardy to Nanaimo and on to a ferry to cross to Vancouver

Ride to the USA border, across Seattle and stop in Tacoma, just south Seattle, incredibly long start-stop traffic jam, with temperatures around 35°C to cross Seattle.

June 7 Left Tacoma towards the coast Hwy 101
The weather surprised us as it became cool once again, we left prepared for a warm day and had to stop and get more layers on - yeah I know - we could have looked at the weather before leaving.

Arrived to Astoria Oregon, breakfast a at the Coffe Girl cafe on Pier 39
