Like others, I find the ST1200RS manual Ohlins suspension to be a bit harsh for the street. One way to solve the problem is replace my 2022 with a 25, electrically adjust the suspension and be happy. I just looked at the 25s this weekend and my wallet said no :(

The other way to address the issue is to revalve the dampers either by sending them off or doing it myself. I'm inclined to learn the forks and possibly even the rear. To that end, has anyone evaluated the stock spring to find out the suggested rider weight is? Has anyone gone further to get a build sheet for the stock NIX30 front cartridges or found a rebuild/revalve manual?

    Hey,
Stock Ohlins on the ST1200RS are set up stiff for track-ish use. Spring rates are usually around 9.5-10 N/mm front, but best to measure yours to be sure. No public build sheets, but Ohlins service docs are out there if you dig.
Plenty of tuners can revalve them for street (K-Tech, Nitron, etc.), or if you’re handy, DIY kits are available. Check forums for step-by-step threads some guys have done it.

    will do some searches.
Please point me to them if you are aware of any threads on point.

I am hoping its spring rate as that is the easiest thing to address.

    Thanks!!
