Wondered if any one has found the same fault as i did today with the wiring around the head stock of their speed 400's. Cleaning my bike today i spotted the sheaf protecting the wiring split at the head stock area. thumbnail 400.jpg

That's reminiscent of the problem on the earlier Street Twins where the cables rubbed as you turned the handle bars. In the case of the Street Twins there was a recall fix, which from memory was a plastic cable tidy. From the picture it looks like a kink in the sheath is making it rub?

If you turn the handlebars left I’ll wager the cut line on the sheathing lines up with the edge of the tank and that’s what’s cutting in

That's really not good enough, especially as Triumph have form with this problem on the 'Street' range of Bonnevilles. Am I right in thinking this is a new bike? If so, I'd be telling both the dealer and Triumph directly about this and asking what they will do about it. I'd also add that you know that Triumph have had this issue with other models.

Yes @RevPaul It is booked in at Bulldog Triumph well after talking to them today they said get the bike to them so they can access it for warranty work. I did talk to Triumph UK and said if it is not fixed satisfactorily i will reject it and claim for money back via a small claims. Funny i had mailed Bulldog last Friday and ten minutes after speaking to Triumph they contacted me. Yes it is a late twenty four bike and just nearing nine hundred miles. And like people have said i am pretty hacked of that Triumph have not sorted this problem.
