I changed out the air filters along with the oil change and filter yesterday. This is the second time for the air filters (and thank you Triumph for making the air filters specific to each side - grrr), but it's the first I've taken note of these two gizmos. One is on the right side, held in by the hook on the air filter casing. I'm assuming it's a port for diagnostics, yes? The other is on the left side and snaps into a fitting on the plastic by the air filter housing. I have no idea what it might be. Maybe I should read the manual? This is on a 2018 Speedmaster. Nah...this is easier.
No wiring. It's just a little piece that snaps onto a fitting on the plastic housing by the air filter. It looks to be some sort of on-board tool. It doesn't look like a fuse puller. But it has that "U" shaped channel on it that looks like it's made to engage something. I don't know what its use would be. Back of gizmo Gizmo in place on air filter housing
I thought maybe that too, but it isn't hinged, and it doesn't flex. Toothbrush holder? Does anyone else have this on models other than the Speedmaster? It's on left side by the air cleaner cartridge.
