Ready for day trip. Bend to Portland for The One Moto Show https://www.the1moto.com/ tomorrow. Up and over the Cascades from central Oregon to Portland and the weather looks good for most of the day. Promises to be another epic custom motorcycle show in one of the best venues for a big event like this.

    Paws ready to rock

Well; with the 2001 Bonneville I did nothing because I fiddled with the 2005 that recently followed me home. Has some exhaust I can't identify on it, starts and idles well, but any throttle makes it backfire and appear to run lean. I was going to pop a set of OEM mufflers on but I could Not find the bastards! <g> I do have some carb kits but thought I'd try the stock mufflers first. No idea what jets may have ended up in the carburetors - so maybe I should have started with sorting the carbies but . . . . instead I fruitlessly searched for mufflers.

Just put some "Goop" tyre sealant (other makes available!) in my Street Cup tyres (wire wheels so has tubes). It has always been a nagging problem about getting a puncture so should now have a bit more piece of mind.

This is all very boring I know, but the Street Cup doesn't get too many mentions these days lol.

So long as you don't ride when it's much below freezing outside I have found that using water based Slime in all my tires means only changing tires when they wear out. It's funny with tubes - when you eventually take the wheel apart there are sometimes a number of small rusty spots on the tube where something (a nail or the like) has rusted away with the Slime still keeping the air in the tire. <g>

In UK there used to be a product called Puncture Proof which was at least as brilliant but now it's only sold in US for basketballs, soccer balls, and so forth. When it became hard to get I switched to Slime.

Today I was in charge of our day out, with me on my Street Triple and Helmut on his Tuono. I was after stamps in my Bike and Brew Passport as well as a lovely day out. We did about 200 miles on the route below:

We stopped at Crossgates for a drink (stamp in the Bike and Brew Passport):

Next stop Woodlands Cafe at Devil's Bridge for something to eat (stamp in the passport :p):

Mot time for the 765 today -
    passed no problem
I was instantly reminded why I've kept this one for so long as soon as I set off; what a great bike it is. Left home at 07.10, mot'd and back in bed for 09.00 with a cup of tea for the wife

Out Sunday on the street twin integrating a few errands into a country lane ride around with the wife.

Then on to Skipton for a bite to eat.

A nice steak pie and they have a tea/coffee machine.

It was at this point that I remembered BSB was on tv, so a quick thrash home ensued.
    :yum
