So, now you know everything there is to know about a 70s T140/TR7

I'll restore the mudguard but keep this clear coated. These are normally stuck under the seat but cool to keep it as it is.

I bought a new kickstand as the one I had collapsed on me.

Nearly caught me out but my catlike reflexes allowed me to catch the bike on my leg. S'funny how annoyed one gets when something alarms one when not expecting it, what what.

The frame lug needed building up and grinding flat for the new kickstand to not flap about but all good now. It was a bit cloudy in the garage hence the fog.
Less of the flapping about now. Over.....:)

Bit of a broad-brush generalisation but breaks like that in the sidestand are often symptomatic of owners kickstarting the bike while its weight (plus, of course, the owner's weight!) is still on the stand.

    DAMHIKT ...

I hate it when threads aren't finished off. The build is all done and running.
Sorry to all the messaging members but, as some of you know, I struggle with social media stuff. I am contactable on the other Forum as I still hang about over there.
    Enough, here it's done
