@Bikerman, the bulb fields are even more spectacular than the castle! And I loved the photos of the windmills, especially the one with the mirror image reflection and the lily pads. What a wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing photos with us.
Cheers @Sandi T ! Yup, we're fine and looking forward to some nice stuff - I'm off to Ireland in a couple of weeks time, meeting and travelling with various forum members, meanwhile the mrs. is taking the dog to Belgium. Mid June we're off together, a fortnights biking in the Vercors in France...
You can read up here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Haar_Castle The present castle is not that old, but definitely stunning!
Glad to hear you're well and have some fun things planned. Have fun and enjoy! Hi to Mrs V. from me please.
@Bikerman Absolutely stunning. What beauty mate. The pictures are above and beyond. Well i don't need to say it but have a great trip.
@Bikerman Don't know if its right to say like as i did. I remember watching a TV Documentary about the massacre. But i thank you for reminding us that war is evil and bad things happened on all sides. God bless the fallen comrades.
Well I might have to change the title, as I'm stretching the Bulbfields heading. In Bayuex now, here are a few pictures of things along the way.
Thanks for posting this Vulpes, I've only got my smartphone with me and I'm still learning how do do things on it. Adding what you added is on my too do list.
Last lot Will be doing a walking tour of Bayuex tomorrow, then make our way home Friday. Been a brilliant trip so far, just can't believe the weather we've had. I'll post some more pics if I think you'd like them.
Please do. Loving your reports so far, and chuffed for you in regards with weather. Here's hoping Pluvius will be asleep when I head out to Ireland in two weeks time...
Cheers Vulpes. I too will follow you're rain free tour if Ireland.( Fingers crossed.) We're blessed on this forum with great people who take the time to share with us all their great trips, be them long or short, for us all to enjoy.
Last day today. Making our way home tomorrow. Went and visited the British war cemetery first and then the Bayuex Tapestry this morning. No pictures of the tapestry. Amazing bit of work. Anyway here are few that I have taken.
