Today I rode to Halfpenny Green (Wolverhampton Airport) to see Lee at TriumphTech for my Street Triple's service. Always a pleasure to see Lee and the only "extra" that the bike needed was a new set of rear brake pads .

 

That bike has certainly seen its share of rainy weather, @Markus!

Sadly 1050 Speed Triple RS had to go but now got a Speed Twin 900. First ride out yesterday around the Norfolk coast about 130 miles and it's a nice bike to ride and handles well.

 

Do you notice the drop in power between the 1050 and the 900? Was there a particular reason why you changed your bike?

My 75 years old bones are no longer compatible with the Speed Triple although my brain still is (I think!). Got mild arthritis and was struggling to mount the Speedy due to the high pillion perch. The Speed Twin has a flat low seat so is more manageable. The Twin has less than half the power of the Triple but has the high torque engine so is still good for fast safe overtakes but obviously not as ballistic as the RS. I loved the RS and wish I could have kept it but needs must. At least I am still riding so it's not the beginning of the end yet.

The Bike and Brew Passport event started today, so I had a short sleep after I finished my night shift and had the honour of being Bringsty Vintage Cafe’s first stamp . I also went to Sally’s Place in Malvern, so about 90 miles today as I chose the scenic routes.

Ready for day trip. Bend to Portland for The One Moto Show https://www.the1moto.com/ tomorrow. Up and over the Cascades from central Oregon to Portland and the weather looks good for most of the day. Promises to be another epic custom motorcycle show in one of the best venues for a big event like this.
