    Hey folks,

I've had my 2010 Bonneville SE 865 for a year now and am starting to get on to maintaining her, so looking for any resources/tips/faults I should be aware of.

Looking forward to getting to know the community, and if anyone is on the NC500, give me a shout, and we can maybe grab a coffee.

Cheers for having me, _DSF0414.JPG folks.

    Burt

@865SEBurt Welcome to the family. There is lots of tips on here that peeps have performed. I am sure you have your own thoughts as to what you want to achieve. Mostly peeps seem to change cans or complete exhaust systems to start. This you can mostly pick a system you like and most will have a sound bite on YouTube. lots of people open up the airbox a bit by removing the snorkel which gives a deeper tone

Looks like you have aftermarket shocks which is a sound policy. I bought a replacement seat which looks better and is much kinder on the butt. Also removed SAI and installed TORS tune which seems to suit my Toga exhausts better. Fitted progressive springs and never got around to fitting my fork emulators last winter.........had the bike I think seven years now and they seem sound enough to me, although my mileage is nothing like I might have hoped. Did ride it to Spain mind. :)

Hey folks, thanks for the warm welcome. I have tidied her up by removing the barkbuster handguards and the tiny screen, next on my list is changing mirrors.

I took the baffles and am loving the pops and bangs I'm getting from the Arrow exhausts so am not planning to remove the SAI but she could definitely do with a bit of a tune up, she seems to be running lean so been looking at tuneecu.

I have started to have an issue with the tail light working intermittently so need to investigate that.

Ooh can anyone recommend some good road tyres? preferably an offroad looking, but lets be real, 80/20 road bias I would think. Thanks in advance folks

Just fetched it from my lockup, getting ready to hopefully have an overnight camp this week to try out new tent and sleeping bag
