Exhaust Tube Connection

    Still getting to know the new (to me) bike. 2011 sprint gt. Exhaust sounded like it was blowing. Tightening up the jubilee style clip did not fix it. Further 20250302_113116.jpg investigation revealed a load of gasket paste and a weird collar washer thingy. Is this normal? How does yours fit?

    @Stu9000 And looking at that exhaust there are gaps the gasket should cover those if you can't get the can to push on a little further. That stupid Paste is a nightmare and pathetic. I myself use silicon much better and when it comes to removing the can it is easier,
