Here in South Jersey we're in the Philadelphia sphere of influence. We're Phillies fans, Flyers fans, 76'ers fans and most of all EAGLES fans. The Eagles romped last night, crushing the favored, vaunted Kansas City Chiefs in Superbowl 59. Thrashed them! Philly fans are known for their enthusiastic and, ahem, "spirited" support of their sports teams. Last night my daughter hosted a Superbowl party. So, in true Philly fashion we tore down a light post, overturned a car and lit a trash fire in the street. And that was before the game.
Yeah, but I bet you didn't have enough trash laying around and caught in the weeds for a proper bonfire like they do in New Jersey and Philadelphia!
Overheard the wife on the phone this morning with her friend in Florida: "We got about five inches of snow last night." Me yelling over from the next room: "It's more like six inches." Wife to her friend: "Don't listen to him. Believe me, I know five inches."
