I bought my 2019 Speed Triple on November 23, 2018–six years ago yesterday! I love this bike. It’s the longest I’ve owned any of my bikes since I started riding in 2010. And I have noooo intentions of selling it.
I guess I’m really excited about this bike. Somehow, I posted three of the same photo! This was taken on the day I bought the bike.
Congratulations.. I’m much the same Sandy. This is also one of my longest kept bikes ever. Just a great piece of engineering that keeps putting a smile on my face. Wish we had some better biking weather over the last two summers to get out on it more..!
Congratulations, we must've bought at similar times. I purchased my 765rs in November 2018 and recall getting up at about 06:00 with excitement to take it out on the Sunday morning, but wisely decided to wait a few hours for the thermometer to get away from zero centigrade
30 years, @Bikerman?! That's amazing! I'm sure your Thunderbird is happy that you adopted him nearly 30 years ago and gave him (as they say about pet adoptions) his "forever home".
I purchased my 2005 in January 2018, with 15K miles on it. It is now 19 years old, has 37,5K miles on it, and inspite of it having been joined by a brand new 1200 Tiger this year it's not going to be leaving me! I love that Speedy so much, I'll also post 3 pictures!
Sandi you know I love my Speed Triple too. Only had mine since last year, but it's a keeper. My avitar photo was taken when we rode them together on the Mt. Lemon road and Ek got his "performance award" when he was riding behind us.
Yep, @Vulpes. There's something about our Speed Triples that makes them dearly loved! Thanks for posting your THREE pictures! (Made me feel not quite so inept and silly. Thank you, Wim.)
@Marco Wikstrom Hey, Marco! Yep, I do know that you love your Speed Triple. That's awesome that your avatar photo is one I took of you on Mt. Lemmon last year! I laughed so hard at your comment about Ek's "performance award" (that's "code" for speeding ticket for the rest of you), that my smoothie came out my nose.
