Today I crossed Austria with my "small" bike. Just a short trip over night for some business in the Tyrol. The weather forecast was not so good this morning. Therefore I took nearly the most possible way through the southern parts of Austria. The complete route was 470 km long an took me through wonderful parts of Austria. In the area of Zell am See in the province of Salzburg the rain caught me and accompanied me until the border of the province of Tyrol. The way to my final destination I had the possibility to dry again. The look of my bike changed extremely! The weather forecast for tomorrow announced some more rain on some parts of my way home. Therefore I will clean it at home after my arrival. Some impressions in the following. Before the rain: And the actual look:
Today I returned home and tried a new route through Austria. From Hall in Tyrol to Zell am See, Gerlospass, Krimml with the great waterfall called the the "Krimmler Wasserfälle" and again through the Murtal and via the Semmering back home. This time the rain caught me only for some minutes. Due to the warm weather ist was really refreshing. The bike was completely "washed" by hard rain the whole night, but I will have to do some hard work to get it clean again the next days.
thankfuky the bike is shaft driven and you do not have a chain to clean I looked up the waterfall, it looks really impressive
@Armando Morales: You are right Armando. I love my two bikes with their shaft/cardan drive. The cleaning is much easier. But I am always head of the (chain) cleaning commando of my wife's bike too. The waterfalls are three in a row coming down from the mountains. There are some footpaths beside the waterfall where you can get some great impressions of the size of the falls. In spring the amount of water is unbelievable.
