Bikes all loaded up, departure tomorrow. First leg will take us to Ulm, Germany arrival in Italy the next day.
@Vulpes: I wish you all the best for your great tour! You will love the different possibilities to ride there!!!
Thanks Markus! We know the area, we did the same trip last year. It's so gorgeous, we decided to go back and do it again!
Thanks Markus! We know the area, we did the same trip last year. It's so gorgeous, we decided to go back and do it again! @Markus the Tiger's too heavy to haul on the trailer with my mending ribs... my speed triple is staying, I use that for these kind of holidays and when I'm feeling naughty...
Day two, should have been an easy 250 miles… Well as luck would have it the Brenner Pass into Italy was completely congested, so as opposed to 5 hours it took us nearer 8… Oh well, at least we got there! And how! Fabio (the proprietor) had made it incredibly easy for us - drive straight into the garage, unload the bikes, park the trailer and take the car out again! Fantastic! Getting into our digs we were welcomed by this: Yummy! Then out with a couple drinks, winding down. First ride tomorrow!
According to our host the farmers will make hay this week. Allways a good sign, as they do know the weather.
Woke up to a nice morning, so walked the dog and got ready for a nice ride. It being a Sunday, and the first nice day in weeks, we decided to avoid the high passes and the inevitable would-be-Marqueses. We opted for the Passo Lavazè, altitude 5.457 ft. Lovely ride, great weather.
Looking good. Brilliant scenery, and experiencing it all on a bike, doesn't get much better than that.
@Vulpes: The scenery is breathtaking there! Enjoy it. Is your wife happy with the performance of her Trident?
