Help Installing A9630716 Bar End Mirrors - 2022 Street Twin

Hello: I successfully installed the right mirror, but am struggling with the left one. I was able to remove the small plastic piece shown here:



but I cannot figure out how to fit the handlebar plug that came with the set. Is this the correct handlebar plug that goes in its place? The instructions are quite vague. I can install the mirror without replacing this piece, but then there is a bit of a gap between the mirror and grip.

 

Thanks Paul, appreciate the detail. However, the only way to utilize the 22.2 version (smaller hole) is to remove the plastic piece I highlighted in my first pic - otherwise, it does not fit. As such, there is a gap in the handlebar (not the gap between the mirror and the grip, but inside the round part of the handlebar). Here's a pic - you can see the empty space inside the bar. I think I've given up and accepted that this is just how it will look on the LHS. (Thanks for the compliment - I do love the mirrors!!)

it included all the parts shown in your highlighted PDF - nothing was missing. I am 99% sure I am fitting the rings properly - the right one was so easy! I will look into PNo.T2060499.
