    hi guys,
joined a while ago and thought i had posted but being an old cunt I obviously got it wrong, I'm, as i said, an old cunt who has always until recently had Jap bikes (much to my grandad's disgust). Got early retirement (2015) and sold my Z1000 and bought a Nightster and found that everything said about Harleys is true, so changed everything. Bought a 2016/7 Thruxton R, lovely, my grandad would be happy, as am I.
    Cheers, Howard

    Hi welcome.

Excellent choice of bike. Worth getting the suspension setup if you aint already. Ohlins specialist sorted mine and upgraded the rear springs at same time as the standard ohlins springs in UK are known for being close to the limit well for my weight of approx 80kg

    hi guys,
I'm not dissapointed at all she is lovely! Just wish she came with tubeless rims having had a tubed tyre go, so I've bought some but yet to put them on.

To be polite i will reply to all:

Boothman - did you ever go to the Wigan Casino? Probably too young, one of the greatest dance clubs there was.

Timboo - I'm a little cunt so if anything I need softer springs.

Dark Man - South coast of GB or here?

Glenn - Wrong side of the hill! Do you like sheep?

    Helmut - Yes they do.

Bikerman - Wher exactly is Linconshire?

    Cheeres guys

Before you put the tubeless rims on had you thought about sealing the existing rims? See this to understand what’s involved.

I did this to my Thunderbird 3 years ago this April, Zero problems at all. You still do get air loss, but no more than with an inner tube. I can now fix the puncture at the side of the road, should it happen. Never really liked inner tubes, and the instant deflation that come with a puncture.

    Hi Baza, Bikerman and all,

Yes I thought about going your way but a mob in Germany had some Alpina wheels going for about half price so thought fuck it and bought them. And yes, having had, many years ago, a back tyre go on a GS550 round a roundabout in Cornwall in the wet with a semi up my ass I hate tubes. Will post photos when I can find them or take new (got hacked). Still have the Nightster which is going to get breathed on shortly and once "she who must be obeyed" has passed her test its hers.

Cheers from a very warm SW Australia
