Name is wiredgeorge and I own a vintage motorcycle carburetor rebuilding/sales business in Mico Texas USA. I don't ride two wheel bikes anymore (balance issues) as I am a geezer but do ride a 2006 Goldwing trike with my wife. I have owned multiple Triumph America models in the past and miss them. I have owned Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Triumph, Harley and and Indian (over 60 years ago). Here is a picture of the missus and me at a place called Alamo Village outside Bracketville Texas where the moves "The Alamo" and "Lonesome Dove" were shot among many others. We mainly ride in the Texas Hill Country.

Hey George, welcome from a South Jersey Yank. I just watched a video of a guy doing a rebuild of Fonzie's Triumph. Rebuilding the carb looked like the most fun part o_O. He had to find Whitworth tools for the project. Looked like a nightmare, but he got it roadworthy. Enjoy the Triumph Forum. A lot of good folks here.

Later carbureted Triumphs used Japanese carburetors (mainly CVK) and those are ones I do work on. No Whitworth tools but they do use Japanese Industrial Standard tools (JIS). Metric only.
