After reading that I'm not sure what to think. I'm all for reducing deaths of bikers but i've just got a nagging doubt as to why the Devon & Cornwall police are putting so much into targeting bikers.

Presumably the drones will also be able to catch cars and any other vehicles as well?
Naturally "inadequate speed for the road" is causing an obstruction so would it be right for one to presume these offenders, doing like 27 mph in a 60, will also be dealt with, yes?

In my part of the world, speeding is the least of the problems, but it gets the most attention. What about blowing through stops signs because they think they can beat your oncoming vehicle ? What about passing on the painted center island because the traffic lanes are not moving fast enough ? A few months ago, I left a church meeting just before noon on Sunday. Looked both ways, nobody out there. Rolled down the residential country road in 3rd. gear because I only live 1/2 block down the street. I had to make a quick evasive maneuver when I started to turn left in to my driveway because some clown is passing me at probably 70-80mph ! There are a LOT worse things than speeding. ...J.D.

And then what shall we do about city centre cyclists doing their usual red light jumping?
Never fails to amaze me how many ride through the lights in order to maintain momentum

With the amount of drug/drunk drivers taking out motorcyclists in our area last year it would be nice if they concentrated on them rather than if your number plate is half an inch too small. Bet they still went down as motorcycle accidents though

I’m amazed that people are riding their bikes having been drinking . Bikes are dangerous enough when sober, let alone having had a drink.

Yeah, have to agree. I often stop at pubs/restaurants when I'm out, and will happily enjoy a couple of bottles of 0.0 (Peroni, Heinekin,... all a whole lot nicer than a diet coke). It's actually hard to tell the difference these days.

There's an osteopath I know of who has lines of coke regularly on a weekend. I found this out from a relative. Presumably does the same during the week.
Her business is near me. The question is do I report her?

I think you have misread my post mate, it was drug/drunk car/van drivers taking out innocent motorcyclists

Here in the States we have a government site call "WeTip". I have taken out a couple of low life drug dealers etc. by posting it for all law enforcement to see. ...J.D.

Ah and those accessories on his ankle area (handcuffs etc), it certainly blows a gigantic hole into NYP press release that they "want to engage with the motorcycling community", absolute rubbish we all really know what their objective is, do they think we are that gullible, Policing by public consent my backside. A freedom of information request to NYP may shed light on their real agenda, although they would undoubtedly refuse with the statement "not in the public interest".
