I contacted Destination Triumph for a price to have a quick shifter fitted to my 2018 765 R while it is having it's service. The guy said that he couldn't find a genuine Triumph QS for a 765. I've since searched extensively and have seen used genuine items on eBay and after market QS's of various makes but not genuine Triumph.
This is the closest I got....

It says street triple in the description but when I used search menu on the page for a 2018 765 R QS the page says no items fitting this description.

Basically what I'm asking is, has anyone retro fitted a QS to their 765 ST, genuine or otherwise.

    Thanks for any advice.

It's an indirect answer to your question inasmuch as I haven't personally actually fitted one to a 765 - or any other bike, for that matter - but I did do a fair bit of research when I wanted a QS for my 2010 Street Triple and was on the verge of buying one of these :-

    https://hjrproducts.co.uk/product/triumph-675-765-quickshifter-street-triple-or-daytona/

It's a product of a Czech (I think) company and it is, as far as I can tell, identical - certainly in terms of functionality - to the factory branded item. All the research I did at the time suggested that it was a plug-and-play; robust; reliable, well made replacement for the 'original' factory item at a fraction of the cost.

On another (model specific) forum I inhabit, a number of members have bought, fitted and used them entirely satisfactorily so I think it should be reliable enough. Check that your model has the sub-loom wiring in place, no set up is required if it has - it really is plug and play - buy, fit and go have fun.

A QS is very much a 'toy', it isn't at all a necessary item, though it can be useful when you do want to maximise the acceleration of the bike - but it IS a real pleasure when you do occasionally "feel the need"!

Thanks Aidie, I didn't realise it was so easy to fit, I'd happily have a go at that.
I agree about the QS being a toy, but so is the bike so no worries there.

One thing to check is will it quick shift up and down or only up. I fitted one to my Explorer and it was Up only.

I had a Translogic one fitted, quite expensive. I think triumph use the same components but branded as their own. They do one for your bike.

Looks like an advert for HM quickshifters, they don't list a quick shifter for a street triple.

First of all if you intend fitting an OEM quickshifter, then your 2018 model 765r is only suitable for the up change quickshifter, your machine is unable to have a retro fit quickshifter/blipper, this is due to the ECU that is only compatible with the upshift, the correct OEM part number is A9938249, fitting this is straightforward and it is plug and play. The quickshifter/blipper only came into production on the 2020 models onwards. Translogic make Triumphs quickshifters, you can fit either a Translogic or HM quickshifter, personally I would go with the OEM.

I'm pretty sure Translogic make the Triumph QS.
If you want down shift as well then speak to Moto46

Upshift only would fine. The Translogic and Triumph (if you can find one) are similarly priced.
If the Shifting Control is as good as many are saying it is then it is very competitively priced.

If you are happy with upshift only then you don’t need to splash the cash, you just need to practice the technique of doing it without the clutch. After a while it becomes second nature.
