That depends on what state you are moving to. The vehicle regs. differ from state to state. I bought a unregistered Triumph Legend from another state and trucked it home myself. It has no U.S. tag on the steering head that would indicate it was built for the U.S. market. I have no idea where it came from. I was still able to get it registered here in California.
