    Hello.
I've got a triumph speed triple 1200rs I bought brand new last year with only 5.860 klm and I'm thinking if I can take it with me to the states since I'm about to move there!
I know that if I sell it now I'll loose more than 3.000 euros probably.
Does anyone know if it can be registered in the states for usage?

    Thanks

That depends on what state you are moving to. The vehicle regs. differ from state to state. I bought a unregistered Triumph Legend from another state and trucked it home myself. It has no U.S. tag on the steering head that would indicate it was built for the U.S. market. I have no idea where it came from. I was still able to get it registered here in California. I checked it's VIN#. It was a built in Hinckley in 2000. Importing a car can be a lot more complicated. ...J.D.

I understand why you want to take it with you when you move to the States. Regarding registering for use, importing cars from Europe into the U.S. can be complicated. You should research the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website to find out the requirements for importing a motorcycle from Europe. This can be a hassle, but if you're willing to put in the time and effort, keeping your beloved motorcycle may be worth it. When I needed to move my car, I turned to Shipaa, which offers top-notch car transport service. I wish you the best of luck in your move and all the best.

I have a similar question, but in my case, it's a car. I found a nice vintage ride in the UK, and I wanna ship it to the US. Do any of you have any experience in that?

Automobiles are a whole other issue. It has to meet Federal standards to be licensed in the U.S. Really depends on the vehicle in question. ...J.D.
