Hi folks, I'm looking for a replacement seat for my 2019 Speed Twin 1200. Ideally I'd like something similar to the seat on a Street Cup, i.e. cafe racer style. I've seen the Corbin seats available in the US but personally I don't like the ribbing and embellishment, I'd prefer something plainer, in black of course. I also don't like the price of the Corbin seats - $600+ before shipping I think! Has anybody out there with a Speed Twin fitted an accessory seat of the style I'd like?

Have you looked into getting your seat recovered? It may be a less expensive option and you can probably get the foam updated as well. I'd do a YouTube search on that and see what you come up with. I know here in the states Russell Day of day long seats does great work and has a good reputation. There's a couple fellas in England that do the same kind of thing but I can't remember their names off the top of my head.

Thanks for the reply. However it's the style of seat I'm looking to change, from a flat twin bench to a single with a hump at the rear, cafe racer-style. Also I'm not a fan of quilted seats which is what most accessory seats seem to offer, and just getting the OE seat re-covered wouldn't change the shape. I wonder if a Street Cup seat would fit the Speed Twin, I'll ask my local Triumph dealer if they have any thoughts on that.

Surely the baseball need to be the same length to engage with the locking mechanism.

You should be able to get a decent seat specialist to reupholster your seat with a hump and a cover to suit your requirements.

Try Tony Archer as one example www.tonyarcher.co.uk

Thanks for the info, you're right, I do need to keep the same seat base to preserve the locking mechanism. Why didn't I think of that before! I've emailed a company called Herbert & Ellison and asked them for a quote to re-configure my existing seat as a cafe racer-style seat. I tried the website you quoted - Tony Archer - but is says website under construction - contact by mobile 'phone only.
