    Hello from India :)

I noticed a few days ago, I started my bike after a gap of 5-6 days due to holidays when the bike started up the RPM was very high around 1600 and then if I put the bike in 1st gear it would halt and I had to restart again. This went on for 5-6 times and then I started the bike and let it idle for around 2 mins then after putting the bike in 1st gear it worked.

Is this a problem or normal with Street Twin 900?

Thanks so much for your help!

Bit of a late response this but I'm curious as to how you know exactly what rpm your Street Twin is doing. There is no rev counter (tacho) on the Street Twin, only a speedometer, unless they forgot to fit one on mine :grinning:

Does the LCD display not show revs when you change it to that with the scroll button? It does on my Speedmaster which seems to have the same instruments.

Not on mine. I've got total mileage, 2 trip meters, a clock and an mpg indicator. I think that's it. No rev counter. Obviously the Street Twin gets the budget version.

Well that's interesting. How can I have missed it? I'd nip down to the garage to check but it's bloody freezing in there. Maybe later. I don't know if it's relevant, but mine is a first-gen 2017 model. What's yours? Just wondering if it was an upgrade, along with the other changes they made.

I'm pretty sure it was part of the upgrade, as I definitely didn't have one on mine (a gen 1).
