And even with all our technology we still cannot toast evenly and consistently. Come on Mr Dyson, I'm sure there is a market waiting for you here.

    A Joyful hour tatting,
Since doing the starter motor brushes the Daytona starts like newun:). Have`n`t started it up for about a month? This bike always flattened the battery before it would fire up but now 1st or 2nd prod & she`s awake! Maybe if anyone running an old T300 series should take a look at doing this too. Makes a world of difference guy`s n gal`s.Yes i know its common sense but lets face it, it`s not a nice job to do eh? Having said that it`s crap weather n ya can`t beat tatting in the garage!
Stay safe everyone n have fun!!

Little people with little hands from far, far away, maybe Eldon ? Possibly the same ones that made ours to burn everything that's put into it ?? Very inscrotable .. eh ? Then again, knowing the smoke detectors work is a bit of a plus, I suppose ... !

hahaha .. tomorrow, TOMORROW .. eh ?? 24 days later, after having almost no hair left ... forked back from sitting on stool just staring, wondering why will it fire, with a little fuel and easy-start, but not continue running .. hmm... nothing in fuel line ? .. blooody vacuum taps !!!!! Tested .. seems OK ... new vacuum line just in case ... nah, same ? New owner rings .. new owner rings ... new owner told to fukk off and he can have money back !!! New owner turns up eventually and asks what problem is and can he help. Huge, deep breaths, teeth grinding,:rolleyes::rolleyes: pleasant smile (sorta) .... yes, you can .. as I seem to have mislaid my third arm somewhere !! With all the stuff being held out of the way I could get in with the little LED light ... to discover the small vacuum tube that sits into the float bowl wasn't !!!!!!! Moral :-- Don't trust oneself to get things right by feel alone ! Anyway, he took it today and is off on a 200 odd mile ride tomorrow, happy as a sandboy :heart::heart: All's well, etc.

Always wanted a W800 until a used Street Cup showed up at the local dealership at half the cost. Would've never considered a non-Japanese bike in the past due to reliability issues but I think Triumph upped their game significantly with the new WC Bonneville line. I love air-cooled bikes for their good, clean looks and simplicity. The Triumph certainly has the looks and is a keeper as long as it doesn't give me any trouble. I probably would've been a little disappointed with the lower powered Kawasaki.

I took advantage of a "weather window" today and after weeks of snow, rain and ice, finally got my bikes out of the garage again. The temperatures were at a cold -6 to - 3 degrees Celsius, but the roads were dry. Therefore, I'm first with my Honda and then with my Bonnie to 50 km each on different roads, up to a short stretch on the highway been on the road. With the heated grips and clothing, the temperatures were no problem. My feet were happy when I stayed home after the 2nd turn.:p Warmer weather has been forecast for the next few days, but there will be plenty of precipitation again. Therefore, the bikes remain in the garage until 2023 from now on. ;)

To be perfectly honest,I had an 865 thruxton, slightly scramblerfied. And the w650, that I have, with the slight mods,is not that far off the triumphs performance. So I'm quite happy.

Recently added a Corbin saddle and a comfort tinted screen for the KRS. Needed a new battery so got an Odyssey PC680 red top. She’s never let me down or stranded and she’s 22 years old!

Seemed to have sorted the non-start pro:weary_face:blems on the speedtriple, so, as son's birthday is two days before Christmas and I can use the ringroads ..... aaaahhhh !! Even got to show a noisy, burbly, racing striped BMW coupe that he'd wasted bucketloads just to look and sound the part :laughing:. Life can be good ... until the next day when son rings, " How yer feelin' ? " .. "OK Why ? " " Uh, we've just tested for ..:poop::poop: " !!!!! So here we are with day's of 31o :sun::sun::sun::sun: and too tired to even wheel bike out !!!! You gotta :laughing::laughing: don'tcha ?

Looking at pictures of it......I should have it in my grubby paws mid - late January after it's been serviced, new tyres, MOTd :p.

The Street Triple is absolutely, 100%, staying with me, no need to worry on that front!!

A bit of a play in the mud and rain today with the youngest on our Beta's

    VideoCapture_20230101-145629.jpg
The two pictures are in the wrong order, time wise, as the step in this climb above had an awkward run up and landing. Unfortunately at the third attempt the landing knocked the rear tyre bead off the rim and that was the end of the day.
A steady push back to the trailer on tickover followed but we'd been out for over four hours and enjoyed it

    Different climb,
that is a very steep hill with soil and clay covered in wet leaf litter. He was revving it well :yum and this was in 3rd gear  obviously it cleaned the exhaust out somewhat :joy:

A dynamic decoke in progress :joy::joy:

Thought I'd have a couple of hours green laning on the Berg in the Peak District, along with just about every walker in the County it seems!:joy: Seems like riding courteously on legal tracks on a legal machine just gets you countless looks of downright disapproval these days, plus the odd comment, you just can't win. What is WRONG with these people! Well feck'em, I'm going out again tomorrow.

Ramblers/walkers want the countryside to themselves, full stop.

I do a lot of trail running which is really just walking sped up, but that can provoke a surprising amount of disapproval from walkers too (I am courteous, always give loads of space etc). What IS ok with them is their dogs chasing me, jumping and ruining kit and skin with sharp nails and the occasional contact with teeth - shouldn't run in a place where people like to walk their dogs you see : unamused:. I do really love dogs and walked / ran with mine in some beautiful places but with them under control.

Used to get the same disgusted looks when MTBing in the lakes. The red sock brigade have a superiority complex!

Apparently @Dawsy a farmer friend many years ago said MTB use was the worse form of leisure from an erosion point of view.
Mountain bikes tend to go anywhere they please and not necessarily on the right routes. The tyres are thin and water follows their channels.

I enjoy a bit of MTB myself but feel the world has become less tolerant of others wishes and desires certainly over the last 30 years or so.
