I wish there was a weight limit. I would have understood then, whether it would fit me or not. Well, if not, then I will look for another option. Thank you.

After being really, really impressed with my Knox armoured shirt which is so comfortable and versatile, I bit the bullet and purchased this https://www.planet-knox.com/product/womens-dual-pro-3-in-1-jacket-black/ after experimenting last weekend with layers over the armour in the cold and wet. It arrived today (after a quick exchange from Sportsbikeshop as the first size I ordered was far too big for me) and first impressions are really favourable. I haven't yet tried it on the bike as it's been weather more suited to the Ark but I am filled with hope!

What I will say for anyone considering purchasing is that the sizing is pretty generous for women's bike kit which is usually on the smaller size. I am a fairly standard UK size 10 for jackets and ordered the medium at first as I tend to size up in bike jackets but it was absolutely massive so exchanged for the small which is still very roomy - plenty of room for even more layers if needed (I feel the cold o_O).

I finally decided to "spring" (;):joy:) for Legend Suspension's "Revo-A" rear suspension for my H-D Street Glide Special with their lightest spring weight coil. I'm having it installed tomorrow morning and am excited to have a suspension set-up that is actually designed for my weight!

Legend is a small and very well-respected company based near Sturgis, South Dakota. I had to order direct from them because of the spring weight I needed and, due the wacky weather in that part of the U.S. for most of the month of December, it was several weeks before they arrived. Two massive blizzards along with wind chill temperatures around 30-40ºF below zero! I'm just glad my shocks didn't wind up buried in a snow drift in a ditch somewhere.

That should be money well spent Sandi. Correctly setup suspension can make a huge difference to any bike. If you don't fit the criteria of the "average" rider, the ride with the standard suspension on most bikes will always be a compromise. When I bought my Husaberg I had a stronger spring/shock fitted due to my "non average" bulk:sob:
When I sat on the bike in the shop the sales guy said, "erm....I think you need a stronger spring sir" :joy:

I'm quite sure it will be money well spent, @Pegscraper! Even just on the short-ish (15 miles) ride home from the dealership this morning I already felt a positive difference. :) I definitely don't fit the criteria of the "average" rider which I've always heard is about 160-180 pounds and I weigh in at 115. Sounds like that sales guy at least found a fairly tactful way to speak to the spring weight and not the rider weight. Sort of. ;):joy:
