    Hey all,

I have a 2021 Tiger 900 GT Low. I added the clutch-less quick-shift, heated seat, TPMS, and the connectivity module. Only got about 300 miles on it so far, but I'm lovin' it!

My question is: In the Display menu, there is a "Gear Shift Ind" menu item. When selected, there are 3 options. "Disabled" appears to be the default setting. The other options are "Running In" and "User Defined". When selecting "User Defined", the current setting is 9500 RPM, and you can change this value. There is no mention of this in the User Manual. Any idea what this is about? Based on the name, I'm thinking maybe once you reach a certain RPM, an indicator tells you it's time to shift? I set it to 4500 RPM, but do not see any kind of visual indicator. I tried this in all four of the display modes.

I'm about to get a Tiger 900GT and am intrigued by your post. I love the gear change indicator in my car as it encourages me to be economical with my gear changes. However, if, as you suggest, it is simply based on RPM and is user-definable, it is a complete waste of time. A true gear change indicator would take into account how much torque is being used and whether a higher gear would be more economical (or a lower gear put less strain on the engine). I'll try to remember to look at my bike settings when I get the chance.
