    Survived but a little damp. The road in front of my house had 3 ft of water over it. An ancient live oak in my yard was badly damaged but will survive. And we were without power for ten days. But there is good news. No bikes were damaged.

    Thanks for the report, @Lou160487. :heart: I'm glad that you survived with not too much damage. And that IS good news that no bikes were damaged! :)

    @steve lovatt

    I love that you bought yourself a new bike because your service cost you "more than you were expecting". I know how that can go. I had a 2012 Thruxton that I wound up trading for a 2016 Thruxton. The battery died at a gas station and after getting a jump, I rode it directly to the dealership to get a new battery. While waiting for that, I test rode the 2016 Thruxton R that had just come out. Uh oh....it was love at first ride and I had it in my garage a day or two later.

    That V7Classic is beautiful! Congratulations on your new ride. And great photos, too. Maybe I'll "see" you on the other forum at some point....

    Thanks Sandi, I'm very pleased with the bike and intend to keep it as original as possible - I've only added the crash bars so far. Nice to get back to a bike with no rider aids (no ABS) or rider modes - air cooled and no fuel gauge. It does have shaft drive of course! :cool:
