I have a 2016 Sprint GT, so not that old (in my opinion). However, looking at the Fowlers spares list, much of it is discontinued. I was after a pair of mirrors (as mine are so "buzzy" I thought I's get some new ones), but they are "discontinued". A quick look on ebay only showed a few, and they were astronomical prices. I can see me getting rid of a perfectly good bike in a few years due to the price or, more likely, lack of availability, of parts.
That is annoying and I have found similar issues with genuine parts for both my T595 and the Sprint GT 1050 I have only owned for a couple of weeks!
mirrors are the most difficult parts to get. It's bike specific. Same issue for the Sprint St 1050. The only way to get some is second hand parts. Fortunately most engine maintenance and mechanical part are available.
