To all monarchists in the UK I offer my sincere commiserations.
A great monarch has moved on, a Queen who has dedicated her life to service to her people. Long may she be fondly remembered.

Thanks @Vulpes she was a truly great Queen, the only one that I and most of the UK has known. Reflecting back on her reign, her strength and grace rooted so much in her sense of service (e.g. determined to welcome our new prime minister just 2 days before her death!) rooted in her faith is truly impressive and the reason why she is so respected across the world.

Some will struggle with the tributes and reflections of the next ten or so days, but we have come to the end of an impressive era. As Paddington Bear said at the jubilee celebrations this summer “Thank you Ma’am for everything”

She was truly one of a kind where duty really meant something to her personally,
No one can question her personal dedication to her job, she did us Brits Pround.
    RIP Queen Elizabeth.
King Charles - well he's yet to prove himself . watch this space

Evidently 9 of 10 people on this planet have been born during her regency. Unfortunately I am not one of those youngsters and remember watching her coronation on the box. A truly great lady.

To see the tributes being paid at Sandringham yesterday was very moving.
