    Joined the RAF 48 years ago last week, ex Halton apprentice , served 9 years, ex A/Fitt/A Cpl fitter.
    Never looked back, although I miss the jock pies and a fag for breakfast.

    Good times had on the Galatea (nicknamed Black Pig!). I was on it when it decommissioned in about 1986/1987.

    They're not a bad bunch, do some good stuff.

    You just join and do as much or as little as you want, it's more the joining and adding funds to the legion :)
