Not used to being ill, normally 3 or 4 days and right as rain but this wore me out. Fine now, first cycle ride tomorrow so that will probably kill me! :grinning:

To be honest I'm surprised how bad that is for 10k road miles. I'm used to off road filters getting so bad but not on-road bikes so quite a WTF moment.

Finally some good weather to get out for a ride :sun: met up with 13 guys for coffee/breakfast and then a ride and some lunch. Some guys extended the ride up the coast, while 6 of us heading home.
So good to get out and the 2 turns of preload on the mono was successful in softening the ride :p

Thank you @Mrs Visor, yes was beautiful but chilly.
We have had a month of rain, :cold_sweat: could be Scotland in winter :p. The sky was clear and no wind at all, so perfect ride day.

i took a run through to Dundee to see the Beano town sign they had erected up the law hill for a celebration D.C.Thomson were having, it's similar to the Hollywood sign, unfortunately i didn't realize it was only up for a week, i found a couple of images online. it would be great if they put a permanent sign up

i then went down to the docks to take a couple of pics of HMS Unicorn which is almost 200 years old, they were going to move it along to where HMS Discovery is docked at Discovery point not far along the river Tay in Dundee, but they didn't think it would be safe to move it

Well , not today, but bought this week 26 yr old beastie, for my Cousin Alistair. He is coming over to Western Australia in September. He sent me the money, we exchanged details of what he was interested in .

    So Ta Da
Here it is on the day I picked her up
She shows her age up close , scratches which are age appropriate as they say..... ! IMG_20220801_093503_956.JPG
Been for a few rides , mostly 100 plus Miles each , she is running better each ride ! Stale fuel etc has a lot to do with the initial poor response and running.
I can't wait for my Older Cousin to arrive ! He's older by around 30 Days :p;) he was born late Dec 61 , My birthday 21 Jan 62 !! He hated Christmas as a Child, only got presents once a year :joy::joy::joy:

The rain finally stopped long enough to get in an hour ride.

Snap @Dawsy I tested positive on Friday with the wife, laid up since. Got up today, feeling a little better. Don’t feel strong enough just yet to get on the bike.

It's no fun is it? I had one really bad night and day then it was like a bad cold but unable to sit upright or stay awake. Took about 10 days before I felt human.

Agreed no fun at all. I started with a runny nose Friday morning and by tea time was in bed. Didn’t get up until today. Throat and chest were on fire and the cough is really painful. Hopefully on the mend now, and not sorry about that at all. If having had the jabs reduced the impact, I’m so glad I had them cause that has been bad enough.
