Yes Dave.... very good performance. Not in the 200hp Super Sports class, but plenty enough power for me... particularly with the engine mods and ECU remap. Below is a copy from one of my recent FB posts. (More info at...https://www.facebook.com/TriumphThruxton). 150MPH (241kph) with Café Racer Style. For an aspiring café racer back in the day, 100mph was the aim.... I believe 150mph is more appropriate in the early 21st century. With the 800km running in period complete, a fresh oil and filter change and it was time for some full throttle testing..... As usual, acceleration around town was very impressive. It was then time to get the machine out on the open highway, select a long straight with minimal traffic and see how fast this machine would go. To add a little more power, I removed the air filters and fitted open velocity stacks. The 'DNK' ECU tune was ‘reset’ to allow for the increased air intake. With a temperature of around 30deg C and a light crosswind, conditions were ideal. First up were a few quick full throttle tests.... very sharp acceleration for a 1200cc twin. I mostly adhered to the highway speed limit of 130km (85mph) until I found the perfect section of road.... back to 5th gear, full throttle, shift into 6th at around 8000rpm (redline now set at 8400)..... Tuck in as low as possible behind the fairing with my nose about a foot from the tacho and hold it flat... acceleration tapered off with the tach reading a little over 8000rpm.... not sure exactly what the speedo was showing. Calculating the speed by rpm, with standard gearing, we have a genuine 150mph machine..... Pretty good with stock engine internals, but with open air intake, free flowing exhaust and a ‘hot’ DNK tune-up.... Perhaps the fairing also assists with aerodynamics... not sure, but maybe even some tail wind assistance. Time to save up a few dollars for some GoPro gear, get back on the highway and do it again with video

. I can't give an accurate answer there Timboo. I live in Darwin, a regional city of around 169,000 people in the Northern Territory of Australia..... and no motorcycle dynos in town. Nearest dyno would be 3100km away, so no chance to measure power output. Only engine mods are a free flowing air intake and full on unbaffled exhaust system and most importantly, the ECU remap by DNK Tuneworks. I expect I would have at least a 10% to 12%+ increase in torque and bhp over stock.

Interesting to see you refer to speed in mph and distances in km. Reminds me of when I used to visit the Irish Republic for work a goodly while back. Pretty sure it was mph and km rather than kph and m.
Yes Baza.... here in Australia it is all metric... so Km and Kmh. However, when I started riding back in the 60's (all imperial measurements then), the measure of a fast bike was 100mph... a speed any serious Café Racer aspired to. For me in 2022, 150mph is the measure.
