Clear coated with a 2K the side panels (petrol fumes are pushed out by the carbs when running and then sucked back in so 2 pack is needed) and clocks. I must've painted hundreds of things on that little plastic table. The top is mostly paints of one sort or another. Had to replace sump plate as there was a suspected thread on the drain plug. Everything had been powder coated, even the nuts. So, hopefully, no blasting material in the oil tank. Always a bit messy but gives a look at what's going on with the screen in there. All very clean so quite pleased about that. And, yes, someone had been a bit enthusiastic with the spanner. These are aluminium/aluminum (aluminum was actually the correct pronunciation as that's what the discoverer called it but cause everyone else was getting it wrong it became aluminium - go check - I dare you, I double dare you with cherries on ) so care is required when trying to alleviate a drop or six of oil on the floor - just take a tray, collect it and put it back in. NOS one from stash popped on with the required fourteen gaskets, so all should be good to go. Wiring is complete - waaaahaaay - lights, brakelights, oil light, all work. The indicators don't though. And there's a spark........petroleum/gasoline tank etc in the morrow - and maybe a ride round. No back brake yet due to venhill usual cock up. Thank you, welcome......over....
I've updated the Wiring Diagram to show the colours of the wires for items that are available to be purchased from dealers to include on your vintage machine. The Hi/Lo toggle switch and horn button available from most vintage dealers has 4 wires that I have to work out what each one does each time I use one. Now I don't have to Similarly the Electronic Ignition (Vape or Boyer), the Lucas Rectifier/Regulator, Headlights, Rear Lights and Koso Electronic Speedos are detailed. So that saves those brain cells as well. I find it quite helpful as I can work through each item starting from each position of the 3- way Ignition Switch. I needed you lately when the battery on the Speed Triple kept going flat, lot's of fiddling and head scratching until got home one night and noticed the little blue light on the hand-warmers stayed on .... yup, connected straight to the battery !!!! Berated oneself .. bashed head on wall for a bit, pushed button .. job done
