I guess they will be using unmarked bikes/cars too? They were using them in D&G the last time I was up there.

 

yes i know they have 2 BMWs one of them is a dark blue estate (we met that one on the Scotland trip last month!) and i was told they also have 2 Volvo estates one of them is silver

 

Why would you speed on the NC500?

 

On certain parts it would take a lot of self control as the roads are so good!

 

and the grip offered by the pale roads just tempts you more

 

I'd never dream of speeding in the highlands!

 

How long has your nose just grown ?

So are the accident statistics such as to require this extra police effort ?

 

No just complaints about speeding from the locals

 

Wonder how many "locals" they will catch speeding?

That's what's happened recently off the course on the isle of man.

 

So the speed kings have finally got to the extreme end of the country. No surprise really, as they have killed north Wales and most of the good riding roads in England. Very soon there will be nowhere to ride your bike without risk of a speeding ticket or ban.

 

I imagine it will just be for a few weeks, then they will return to there usual roads for getting there speed cameras out

 

I hope you are correct Dougie, very frustrating though.

 

A very pessimistic view, surely all the roads can be enjoyed without risk of a ban or speeding ticket, just stick to the speed limits!!

 

Im off up that way in a couple of weeks, for a weekend.

 

While out their nut lol, I have family in South uist, its funny seeing the punters leaving the Lochboisdale hotel at closing time.
