That's what Mr. Sandi and I were thinking when we visited Meteor Crater last fall! Amazing, isn't it! Some others commented that it was a good thing that the meteor didn't hit Interstate 40 just six miles away.
The same old thing here in UK. There are plenty of comments about how Stonehenge should not have been built so close to the A303!
Exactly! The people that organize these things just don't think! Perfect example: - There was a total lunar eclipse last night - WHY WOULD THEY SCHEDULE THIS ON A SCHOOL NIGHT?!
A good number of years ago I had the good fortune to be on holiday in Key West... American tourists were there too (other tourists are available, but it's important for context and accent). Often I would wonder down to the sea to look at the sunset, as would others. Two things I often heard being said... queue generic American accent... "Gee, it's beautiful; does the sun set every night"? And "Tell me...does the water go all the way around the island"?
Hilarious! And as a Norwegian you may have to answer a few amusing questions too. Examples: - When do the fjords open? - When do they turn on the midnight sun? - Did you have the same problems with the vikings as we did with the Indians? Etc.
