Commute for me today, sunny and only a bit cool this morning, very nice. I was looking forward to the forecast 0% precipitation, warm ride home. The reality was short, very sharp showers with wind and a cooler temperature than this morning. I am, however, very fortunate in that I can choose to commute on a road that lots of bikers come to to ride for fun at the weekends which is the route in that I took so no real complaints .

Looks ( to my limited knowledge) that your suspension and tyre pressure is spot on.

Pushing it outside to finish a bit of stuff on the Sporty for the new owner .. and if it enjoys the sun, and keeps quiet, it just may be lucky enough to get a wee ride to it's favourite bar later on !

We have a long weekend planned to Wales in August so have just finished adapting the fitting of my Ventura luggage rack, originally bought for my Ducati, to fit on my Street Triple.

Also knocked up a platform on which to fit my Quadlock phone mount.

I've just been out for a lovely solo sunny evening blast around the local area on some almost traffic - free twisty A roads. One of those evenings where things just feel perfect. @Helmut Visor and I are lucky enough to live in a really beautiful part of the country so there's plenty of enjoyment on our doorstep. I definitely feel like I struck very lucky with a Street Triple as my first big bike; as I get better at riding the more I can appreciate exactly what I have and what a good fit it is for me.

I stopped just short of home again for an obligatory photo for the forum (didn't want to stop whilst blasting about even though the scenery is stunning) and then just a quick photo in the garden - two things @Helmut Visor cannot do this weekend due to work :p.

Got out for a few hours. Great weather but sooo many bugs! They were as thick and fast as raindrops at some points. Bloody helmet kept letting them in, even with the vents closed.

Sounds like a great day, @Mrs Visor! I've had those evenings you mentioned--where things just feel perfect. Looks like you also had a nice ending to a good ride, too. The garden scene is lovely. How are you liking the helmet?

    Bugs? What bugs?

This lot was collected on an evening return trip on the A1 from Lincolnshire to Cambridgeshire. I dare not touch them because I knew what would happen if I did. It wasn’t until the following morning did I realise what an efficient bug catcher I was.

I really love the helmet thanks @Sandi T - it's a great fit, very comfortable, quieter and less buffeting too :).

I also noticed a lot of bugs out tonight, especially round crop fields. When it's reasonably warm I like riding (at low speeds) with the front flipped and the sun visor down on the Shoei Neotec but the damn bugs get in your teeth and they don't taste nice!
I'd never use tearoffs for road use but I've ridden with one of these on the all the bikes I've owned for years with a damp cloth stuffed inside. Quick and easy to use while on the move.
It 's an old racing trick some used years ago before tearoffs were invented, usually a piece of wet sponge on a string so you couldn't lose it. Wiping bug splat with anything other than a damp cloth/sponge is pretty pointless.

Blind!!! I'm tempted to get some tearoffs for next time. That's a lot of bugs!

That's a great idea and solution, @Pegscraper! I'd like to try it. That is a tennis ball, right? So you cut the top off but then how do you have it attached to your bike?
