I have bought an 2022 Triumph Rocket III GT in Norway and the bike tells me sometimes that key is out of range and i can't start it. I have changed battery several times and it works for å while, but suddenly the bike can't find my key...

Is there anybody here with the same problem?

I have tried do bend up the sprongs in the battery compartment innside the key.

What can be the issue here?

@Ove Bjerknes: I had the same problem in the past. In the battery compartment of the key, the distance between the battery and the connectors to the housing is too large. This is why system failures occur time and again. I put a piece of folded paper between the battery and the housing cover and now it "works" as it should.

Hi there and sorry about your woes.
I've got the same issue and mine seems to be worse when its (keybob) cold.
Not a scientific fact but seems to be doing it more for me when it's cold.

I have now tried for almost a week and 4 layers of paper between the lid and the battery for pushing it down seems to work!

i bave not had any problems after i added some layers with paper :)

Drived to work today in -2 degrees celcius and when i stopped the bike at work and tried to start it again it did not find the key. I could only start it when i hold the key close to the sensor at rear fender.

I tried again after one hour and it worked fine. I suspect it is the battery that does not work properly in cold conditions. Maybe?

I had mine in the outside jacket pocket and yes, when it got cold (6 deg c), it stopped working (warning on the dash).
I put it in my trouser pocket after a fuel stop and worked perfectly afterwards.
Too random to be sure but it looks temp related in my case.

    Agreed.

I'm convinced that it is the cold that makes the battery bad.

A litle update. In warmer weather (above 0 degree celcius) the key works fine all the time. So i think the voltage from the battery decreases when it's cold. Enough to make the key useless.

In warmer weather i never get any issue with the key.

Makes a difference on what battery is used.
The 2025 is the same size as a 2032.
Had the issue with my 2020 BMW F 900 R with "key" out of range.
Changing from 2025 to 2032 made a difference.
The whole " keyless " ignition is a major PITA, though.
Getting a 2022 Speed Triple 1200 rr which has it, much to my dismay.
