Just sold my Ducati Monster 1200 and bought my first Triumph, its a 2014 Thruxton 900 in black. Im in North Port Florida.
Davethewelder. Welcome to the family. Both nice bikes. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show the inmates a picture of the steeds. Joe.
Greetings, dave, and welcome to the forum! What kind of welding do you do? Bike related? Hope you enjoy that new-to-you Thruxton. I used to have a 2012 Thruxton in black. Hope you enjoy the forum!
Sandi T, thanks for asking. I own a small 1 man welding shop. I mainly do repairs, in Stainless Steel, Mild steel aluminum and cast iron. Everyday is different, from lawn mower decks, to heavy duty construction trailers, Pontoon boats, engine parts, Moon shine cookers, Structural steel and the list goes on. It gives me the income and freedom to play with motorcycles and other hobbies! So far I love my Thruxon, only a couple hundred miles. I love the old schoolness, no ABS, no traction control, no engine modes, no digital dashboard, air cooled and very traditional looking. Bikes nowadays look like Alien Hybrid transformer insects, LOL

@davethewelder We'd love to see a photo or two of that new-to-you Thruxton, Dave! Sounds like you are enjoying it a lot. And, hmmm, moonshine cookers?! That certainly sounds interesting.
